New Appointment

We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Geraint Jones as Partner of FW Stephens with effect from 1 October 2009. Geraint joined the firm in March 2007 as a Senior Manager in the Private Clients Business Unit. His commitment, experience and expertise as a tax specialist has been a key part of his very well deserved promotion.

E-Mail Scams Misusing HMRC's Name

There have recently been two new e-mail scams purporting to be from the HMRC offering tax rebates.

Please be aware of fraudulent e-mails that are claiming to be from HMRC, and do not follow any of the links within the e-mail. HMRC are aware that recent e-mail scams offering tax rebates are circulating and further details including the e-mail addresses that are being used can be found on the HMRC website: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/security/fraud-attempts.htm
